A Case Study on Pro Shore

Operating in a niche market, Pro Shore offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ supply of equipment to the civil engineering and pipe laying sector of the construction market. From lightweight trench and manhole boxes, through to hydraulic frames and trench sheets, Pro Shore offer a comprehensive product range for all excavation and shoring requirements.

In 2007, Pro Shore was founded by Chris Parkin, Managing Director. Pro Shore was built based off an idea of creating a realistic shoring and trenching alternative to using larger national companies. Fast forward 15+ years, Pro Shore has grown from strength-to-strength, having two depots in the UK, a team of 22 and a variety of fleet available to hire for trench and excavation support.  Naturally with their business growth, came the need for asset management software – and so Pro Shore landed on inspHire Office Edition and has been a customer now for 10+ years.

“In the early stage, inspHire was the front-runner. Our equipment is niche with component parts and inspHire was able to cater to this as it offers great flexibility. The range of industries inspHire can adapt too is brilliant. Having somebody who knows the system inside and out from the offset to set us up was also essential. We could also lean on the advice the inspHire team offers and it was the best way to implement the system.” – Chris Parkin, Managing Director

Pro Shore pride themselves on their commitment to delivering the best all-in-one service

With working in an industry that requires the highest standard of Health & Safety, Pro Shore are committed to going above and beyond when it comes to the compliance and safety in their workplace processes. From internal processes all the way through to the delivery of shoring equipment on-site, Pro Shore operate a strict code of conduct.

“With very few businesses in the shoring industry, one of our biggest advantages is that Pro Shore is an independent company. The team really take the time to have relationships with our customers, keep up-to-date with the industry and prioritising health and safety – ultimately, allowing retention and new business wins.”

In terms of company values, Pro Shore are committed to offering the best quality service at very competitive prices. In addition to this, the team prioritise on being at the forefront on industry knowledge and understanding how the construction sector operates. This is imperative to the business in order to adopt a truly flexible approach to equipment hire, but still boast an outstanding record for delivering on time.

“inspHire CRM is a great tool to track the customer journey, from start to finish. From initial entry of account into CRM, you can then view raised quotes, contracts and other paperwork, record any activity, such as emails – it’s seamless and insightful. inspHire has been instrumental in our success in making sure everything works.”

Re-Investing is Key to Pro-Shore’s Future

With future expansion plans, re-investment is key to Pro-Shore’s growth ambitions. We are continually investing in new existing products to enable better service fulfilment and also investing into a more diverse product range for a wider range of services. We now have the ability to design an excavation size of up to seven metres square. To some shoring companies this may seem insignificant, but for us at Pro-Shore it is important that we get the fundamentals right. We are building a business on steady sustainable growth and financial stability.

Building on our solid reputation we operate from one central depot location servicing the whole of Northern England. Over the years we have built a loyal customer base by offering an honest approach to the business and unrivalled service levels.
